Abernathy Furniture Company opened in 1856 as Abenathy Brothers. The company lasted for around 100 years. Today, their manufacturing building in Leavenworth Kansas is used for lofts. It would be cool if someone who has a loft in this building buys this elegant beauty. It is like a lady in an evening gown on black stilettos. Very beautiful piece, and it was carefully painted in milk paint color lantern and sealed with tinted beeswax for a beautiful dark glow. The top was refinished revealing the original wood and sealed with durable polyurethane. It's just a perfect piece.
