This is a delicate antique coffee table. It came to my furniture hospital with some missing parts which made it wobbly and forgotten. I have fixed it and stabilized it by custom cutting missing structural pieces and installing replacement dowels. The table had hand-painted detail that severely deteriorated over time. However I decided to preserve some of it evidenced in the motif on the top which is not completely covered. The table was refinished using designer midnight paint for the base and the top was painted using a combination of gold leaf, iridescent antique gold, interference gold and everything sealed in the flat out flat topcoat. This table features very charming pie crust edge.
