This is a Thomasville hutch that has been professionally painted, stained and distressed. It is sure to make a big statement and provide a lot of storage. 

Note this piece was purposely aged. Great choice to create that anthropological type of look in your home. 

 

The hutch is made of pine wood and it is vintage.  The process of remodeling included refinishing separately bottom buffet and the top hutch pieces.  The backing was completely detached to be stained in espresso oil based stain and later reattached.  The top and bottom pieces were distressed using variety of techniques using hammers, sanders, dust, purposely adding age to this piece.

 

The paint used: General Finishes Snow White Milk Paint.

The stain used: General Finishes Java Gel Stain.

The protective coat: General Finished High Performance Polyacrilic Satin
