This is an old buffet that probably did live in a real rural Farmhouse and it was used well. This piece was painted in numerous coats of “flour sack” color milk paint by Sweet Pickins milk paint company and it is very chippy and distressed. The vintage lettering was applied to the front. The interior of this piece is painted matte black. The work was sealed in gator hide by Dixie Belle, a durable poly acrylic to prevent further chipping. It will stay and look like this for many years. There are four large drawers and two doors providing plenty of storage. This piece has a significant robust presence. All new vintage glass pulls and handles were added. Felt is applied to the feet. The piece is Queen Anne style. The original maker is unknown. Accessories shown are not for sale.
