How I got interested in furniture

You probably don't know how I got interested in furniture. Well, it started with glass. I once saw a few pieces of the Imperial Glass Katy Blue , and this was the start of me seeking and collecting this particular pattern, manufactured in 1930-ties. I have collected so much glass that it became obvious that I need to nicely display it somewhere.
My nephew offered an old hutch he found in a house he was remodeling, and I accepted his dusty and smelly gift. It sat in my basement for some 7-8 months until I decided to tackle it and refinish, so that I can have a place for my glass.
This was the first project, and the rest is history. The hutch turned out really well. I learned two things: I have talent and already plenty of experience painting, and also I have experienced working on something in three dimensions. After the hutch I just continued saving and rejuvenating antique and vintage furniture. Everything was quite accidental! I had no grand plan to remodel 175+ furniture pieces but the interest was and continues to be strong.
